Boulder, Colo.-based Tendril, Inc. Joins COMPETE Board of Directors

This week, the COMPETE Coalition welcomed Tendril, Inc., the Energy Platform company, to the COMPETE Coalition Board of Directors.
 
Tendril is making significant headway insmart grid and energy management technology. The company joins COMPETE’s Board of Directors on the heels of President Obama’s challenge for realizing a greener economic future through efforts such as electric vehicles, smart grid and clean energy sources. The open standards-based, scalable and secure technology platform developed by Tendril allows energy providers and third party energy ecosystem partners to help consumers participate in home energy management. 
 
“Continued innovation in Smart Grid and energy management technology is dependent upon well-structured competitive electricity markets,” said Cameron Brooks, senior director of market development and policy strategy for Tendril.  “This includes engaging consumers in the energy dialogue by providing them with access to energy usage data, transparent pricing and the tools to master their energy usage—which is what Tendril’s technology facilitates.”
