Renewable energies: climate-friendly energy generation

By using renewable energies to generate electricity and heat, property owners, and removals company in canterbury can reduce energy costs and make a contribution to climate protection.

Renewable energies are almost unlimited

Renewable energies, often also referred to as regenerative or alternative energies, are energy carriers which, in contrast to fossil energy carriers such as crude oil, natural gas, or coal, are almost infinitely available or are renewed in a comparatively short time. The use of regenerative energies is therefore both a way of countering the increasing scarcity of fossil energies and an alternative to nuclear energy and the climate-damaging combustion of coal.

What forms of regenerative energies are there?

There are various renewable energies available to property owners for climate-friendly electricity and heat generation. With the sun as an energy source, both electrical and thermal energy can be generated. While the conversion of sunlight into electricity is called photovoltaics, solar thermal energy is used to generate heat from solar energy. Wind power is another form of renewable energy. A wind turbine uses the lift of the wind to generate electricity. Furthermore, energy can be obtained from biomass. The solar energy stored in the form of wood, energy crops, or residual materials such as organic waste, straw, or liquid manure is converted into heat, electricity, or fuel in biomass systems.

The term biomass also includes heat generation using pellet heating. The heat pump is also one of the alternative energies. The heat from the ground not only heats the house, but heat pumps also provide hot water.

The renewable energy house: all forms of energy at a glance

Solar thermal, photovoltaic or wind power – who promotes and where are the strengths and weaknesses of the forms of energy? With geothermal energy, solar or wind energy, nature provides an almost inexhaustible reservoir of energy for generating electricity and heat.

The use of renewable energies has a number of advantages

  • You are not going to depend more on rising energy costs.
  • You make a contribution to climate protection.
  • You may benefit from the feed-in tariff.

Some disadvantageous aspects to consider

  • The performance of renewable energies can be subject to fluctuations.
  • There are sometimes limitations in availability.
  • There are high investment costs for the installation of the technical systems.
  • Some systems can mean cuts in nature.
